The purpose of the procurement has been to establish a modern, industrialized, and standardized technical platform for the Directorate’s application portfolio. The solution will support more efficient development and management processes, as well as provide the necessary capacity and flexibility for continued digitalization of the healthcare sector.
The Norwegian Directorate of Health manages large volumes of sensitive data and therefore sets strict requirements for information security, privacy, regulatory compliance, and Norwegian jurisdiction. Through Intility’s platform service, the Directorate gains access to a comprehensive cloud architecture, with services delivered from both Microsoft Azure and Intility’s own cloud platform.
– By transitioning to a new supplier, the Norwegian Directorate of Health gains a more modern platform based on private and public cloud services. This creates greater opportunities for innovation and faster development of digital solutions, says Director of Health Cathrine M. Lofthus.
The delivery provides the Directorate with a Managed Cloud solution in which Intility is responsible for architecture, security, and stable operations across environments. The Directorate can therefore leverage the functionality of global cloud services while ensuring that critical data and applications remain subject to Norwegian jurisdiction and Intility’s established control and security framework. The result is a cohesive technical solution that balances the need for technological flexibility with high requirements for security and data sovereignty.
The service includes a comprehensive security platform, supported by Intility’s 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC).
– This agreement is an important vote of confidence from one of Norway’s most central public institutions. We will do everything we can to deliver a robust and future-oriented digital foundation that provides the Directorate with the best possible conditions for realizing its digital ambitions. We look forward to a close and long-term collaboration with the Norwegian Directorate of Health in the years to come, says Andreas Hisdal, CEO of Intility.
A key part of the delivery is reducing complexity in the Directorate’s technology value chain through increased automation and self-service. The Directorate will have continuous insight and operational control through Intility Platform Manager, Intility’s ITSM and platform ecosystem.
The solution provides access to up-to-date technical documentation, real-time status, and tools for comprehensive management of the system portfolio across different cloud environments. This will simplify collaboration between the Directorate’s internal teams, external development partners, and Intility, and enable more efficient and predictable delivery processes.
Intility’s platform service is currently used by more than 700 Nordic organizations, including key public institutions such as Norad, Eidsiva, Hafslund, Norsk Luftambulanse, Flytoget, Space Norway, and the Stockholm metro.
