Hafslund is consolidating the entire group’s IT operations and environments onto a single shared digital foundation delivered by Intility. The selection of Intility’s platform service is the result of a sourcing process aimed at reducing complexity, strengthening security, and enabling a future-oriented platform across all business areas within the group.
Hafslund is Norway’s second-largest producer of renewable energy and a key player in the green transition. The group operates in a landscape characterized by increased digitalization, stricter security requirements, and a high pace of change—placing growing demands on a robust, scalable, and secure IT platform.
-Over time, we have had a fragmented supplier and operating model that has increased complexity and risk. In light of the geopolitical situation, rising cyber threats, and the need for a higher degree of standardization, it was crucial for us to consolidate delivery onto a holistic and future-ready platform, says Jon Andreas Pretorius, CIO of Hafslund.
Through the collaboration with Intility, Hafslund gains a strategic partner for the further development of the group’s digital foundation. In close cooperation with Hafslund’s internal technology organization, this partnership will help realize the company’s ambitious digital goals.
-Intility was chosen because they combine an industrialized platform service with strong operational execution and high security expertise. This gives us better conditions for stable operations, increased flexibility, and the ability to free up internal capacity for more value-creating work, says Pretorius.
The collaboration enables increased standardization, improved collaboration across the group, and a more efficient and innovation-friendly IT model—tailored to Hafslund’s role as a long-term steward of critical infrastructure and renewable assets.
-Hafslund is a socially critical player with high requirements for quality, security, and predictability. Their choice of Intility as a strategic platform partner is a strong vote of confidence, and we are proud to take on the responsibility of supporting Hafslund’s continued digital development, says Andreas Hisdal, CEO of Intility.
Intility’s platform service is delivered as a fully established and continuously evolving digital foundation, with end-to-end responsibility for operations, monitoring, security, and support. The platform is currently used by more than 700 organizations across over 3,000 locations. Folketrygdfondet, Norsk Luftambulanse, Space Norway, and the law firms Wiersholm and BAHR are among the organizations using Intility’s comprehensive platform service today.
