"At Intility, you encounter a wide range of diverse backgrounds and roles, which contributes to creating a diverse and positive working environment."
Jr. Project Manager
Vilde Teksum
What do you work with?
I work as a Jr. Project Manager in the Network Security and Operation Center. We are a department that works operationally with network-related support and incident management. The workday is largely guided by customer needs, and even though my calendar is open when I arrive in the morning, it quickly fills up. I work closely with technicians and other departments within Intility, which creates a diverse and social work environment.
My department also focuses on network security. Here, we work on developing and testing new services, as well as implementing them for our customers. At Intility, you’ll be working with skilled individuals who are using the latest technology to create a world-leading platform together.
Describe your career path in Intility
I studied Industrial Chemistry and Biotechnology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim and went straight into a job as a synthetic chemist. Although I had an interest in technology from before, I had little knowledge about IT when I started at Intility, especially regarding networks. From my first day of work, I’ve been consistently met with helpful colleagues who are more than willing to share their knowledge. There are great opportunities for learning and development, and as long as curiosity and interest are present, you’ll learn what you need for a career at Intility.
What's the best part of working here?
At Intility, you encounter a wide range of diverse backgrounds and roles, which contributes to creating a diverse and positive working environment. It’s a social work environment with lots of humor and many meaningful conversations. In a company that’s continuously evolving, there’s a constant need for new knowledge and more resources. This provides opportunities to shape your own career path and work within the areas you desire.

"Intility has a great work environment. Everyone focuses on helping each other so that we as a collective can function as well as possible."
Senior System Architect
Per Kristian Parken
What do you work with?
I work as a Senior System Architect in the Application Services department. My job consists of planning, coordinating, and executing the transition for new customers moving from their existing IT environment to the Intility platform. My role is to be the technical link in the project phase, which means the link between thirdparties, internal technical resources at Intility, and the customer.
Further, I make sure the different tools used by the customers are working optimally, by shaping the platform on which the customer is being migrated to. This could mean the specification of servers, upgrades, or security-related tasks. Working at Intility is to me, my dream job. This is because of the balance between interacting with customers and being challenged on a technical level.
Describe your career path in Intility
I started as a technical apprentice in Workplace Technologies in the summer of 2012, where I mostly worked on client installation. Quite quickly I moved on to enrollment of mobile devices. In the winter of 2013, I was put in charge of setting up all servers at Intility and I worked on this exclusively for about one year. After this, I took on the responsibility as team leader for our on-site team. Later, I became technical leader for the same department and took on responsibility for the daily operation and management of all on-site and repair teams. In the winter of 2015/2016, I started in my current role as Technical Project Manager in Digital Advisory.
What's the best part of working here?
Intility has a great work environment. Everyone focuses on helping each other so that we as a collective can function as well as possible. An example of this is the many presentations to familiarize ourselves with tools used by other departments. It is very helpful to always know what my colleagues are working on, and to easier access the right information when needed. I have been looking forward to working every day since I started at Intility.

"Intility has given me the opportunity to dive into what I'm passionate about outside of my role as well, such as security, knowledge sharing through various presentations and meetups both internally and externally, our engineering blog, and open-source work."
Senior Network & Automation Architect
Jonas Krüger Svensson
What do you work with?
I work as the Lead Network Automation Engineer in the Network Department at Intility. The network department sets up and manages networks across all parts of our platform – everything from the networks in our data centers, VPNs, physical fiber lines, integrations with public cloud, to local networks at our clients’ sites.
The team I work on is called Network Services Automation, and our goal is to simplify the lives of network engineers and our users by automating tasks and creating tools that make their work easier and better. We’re a great group of developers who work closely with the team’s UX Designer and Product Manager.
Describe a typical day at Intility
I wear many hats, but my main responsibility is to serve as a technical advisor and ensure that the developers in the department make sound technical choices in the products we create. To make good technical choices, I spend a lot of time testing and keeping myself and the team updated on new technology, especially related to coding and networking. I also work as a backend developer and thrive when developing against critical infrastructure, where the issues are complex and have high requirements for accuracy and security.
Describe your career path in Intility
I started right after completing my master’s degree and was hired as a System Engineer in the automation team to assist with scripting and further development of a Python project. I was initially supposed to rotate to another department eventually, but quickly realized that my place was in the network department. Now, five years later, we have grown into a large interdisciplinary team.
What's the best part of working here?
The fact that we’re creating a large, complex, interdisciplinary platform. This means challenges that need to be solved across fields, together. Intility has given me the opportunity to dive into what I’m passionate about outside of my role as well, such as security, knowledge sharing through various presentations and meetups both internally and externally, our engineering blog, and open-source work. I often say that I’ve found my passion at Intility, and I’m not alone – my colleagues are passionate about what they do too. It’s motivating, and we push each other to get better.

"Being exposed to new technologies makes my workday very exciting. My colleagues are highly skilled and more than willing to share their knowledge."
Head of Data Science
Hans Olav Vogt Myklebust
What do you work with?
I work as a Data Scientist in our Data Science department. We have many different data sources that provide information on how users experience our platform. In order to deliver an even better experience for our customers, we want to gain insights into these data. As such, a big part of my job consists of processing, analyzing, and visualizing data.
In addition, I explore new products related to Data Science that potentially could become a part of the Intility platform. Examples of this are RPA tools and our High-Performance VDI that we want to offer to customers who want to engage in high-performance computing with GPU.
Describe your career path in Intility
I started as a Summer Intern in the Cloud Infrastructure department, where I analyzed performance data from virtual machines in our data centers. When I returned to Intility after graduating, I started as a Data Scientist.
What's the best part of working here?
There are many things that make Intility a great place to work. The fact that Intility is experiencing rapid growth allows for exciting opportunities, such as exploring new products and services that potentially can be offered to customers.
