The Directorate for Export Control and Sanctions (DEKSA) has chosen Intility’s platform service for its entire IT environment.
DEKSA was established in 2024 as an important milestone in Norway’s efforts to adapt to a new security policy landscape. The Directorate is subordinate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is responsible for following up on Norway’s international obligations, the export of defense materials, and strategic technology within the sanctions area.
The agreement entails that DEKSA will be migrated out of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and establish a new IT platform on a complete digital foundation, delivered as a service by Intility. This includes end-to-end operational responsibility for DEKSA’s IT environment – from end users, devices, and networks to business-critical applications in the public cloud.
Intility is an industrialized platform service used by more than 700 organizations across over 3,000 locations in the Nordics and internationally. This includes several public sector organizations, such as Norges Bank, Eidsiva, Norad, the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage, Flytoget, and the Government Pension Fund Norway.
