## Self-service application delivery without giving up control

Minato is an application platform that lets development teams deliver applications on their own, without needing direct access to Kubernetes, OpenShift, or underlying infrastructure.

The principle is straightforward: teams describe what they want to run. The platform handles how it gets run.

This provides a simpler developer experience, while security, isolation, policies, and operating models are enforced centrally by the platform team, not by individuals.

Minato is built on OpenShift and GitOps principles. Applications are deployed through a controlled workflow where the desired state is packaged as signed MinatoApp artifacts and managed as a traceable and auditable part of the platform.
